What You'll Need
Printed Prismarion Realm Signet craft page
Markers
Scissors
Tape
Optional: tissue paper or wax paper
Printing a few copies allows children to experiment and try different ideas.
Step 1: Color the Signet.
Color a signet using markers, if possible.
Markers work especially well for window displays because the ink soaks into the paper and allows more light to pass through, which helps the colors glow when sunlight shines through the window.
Optionally, Create a Stained Glass Effect.
To glow more brightly in the window, try one of these advanced options.
Try Tape + Tissue Paper:
Cut out the signet.
Place clear tape across the open areas on the back of the page.
Stick small pieces of tissue paper onto the sticky tape.
Add another strip of tape if needed to hold everything in place.
Sunlight passing through the tissue paper creates a stained-glass effect.
Try Wax Paper Layer:
Place the colored signet between two sheets of wax paper.
Tape the edges together.
Cut around the shape and hang it in the window.
The wax paper softens the light and makes the colors glow gently.
Step 2: Add a Dragon to the Window.
Choose a dragon coloring page.
After coloring:
Carefully cut out the dragon.
Leave a small border around the edge.
Tape or hang it near the signet in the window.
You might place the dragon:
jumping above the signet
guarding the realm
traveling across the window
Now the window becomes a tiny scene from the Realms.
Step 3: Arrange Your Window Display.
Tape the pieces to the window and experiment with placement.
Ideas to try:
Place the signet in the center of the window.
Add dragons standing nearby, as if they are guarding or exploring the realm.
Place dragons at different heights so it looks like they are traveling across hills, cliffs, or distant mountains.
Cut out landscape elements like trees, hills, or clouds and add to the landscape.
Imagination Story Prompts
After the display is set up, try moving the pieces around and imagine what might be happening in this small corner of the Realms. Here are a few story prompts to spark your imagination:
A dragon has just discovered this realm signet buried in the sand. Why was it placed here?
A traveler passes the window and sees the signet glowing. What do they think it means?
A new path opens into the realm. Who might arrive next?
